This programme is focused on raising the awareness of climate change and its impacts, as well as the monitoring and implementation of the government’s national climate action plans and policies, consistent with the country’s obligations under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and Paris Agreement. This work is focused on ensuring that the country is able to contribute towards limiting the global temperature rise to well below 1.5°C from pre-industrial levels, increase its ability to adapt to the adverse impacts of climate change and foster climate resilience and low greenhouse gas emissions development.
